Accessibility
What we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
Our target
We build against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the target, and this page exists partly to say honestly that a target is not the same as a certification.
What is in place
- Every text and background colour pair used on this site is checked against WCAG AA contrast minimums by an automated script that runs in the build
- The brand yellow is used only as a fill and never as text on a light background, because it cannot meet contrast requirements there
- A skip link to main content for keyboard users
- Visible focus outlines on every interactive element
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and native form controls with associated labels
- Form errors announced to assistive technology, not shown by colour alone
- Full support for
prefers-reduced-motion— all animation, including the hero, is disabled when that preference is set - Decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
What we know is imperfect
This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, and it has not yet been tested end-to-end with screen readers by people who use them daily. Automated checks catch a minority of real barriers. We would rather say that here than imply a level of assurance we have not earned.
Tell us when something blocks you
If any part of this site prevents you from getting what you need, email support@bestusaelectricians.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it. If the page is blocking you from sending a request, say what you needed and we will take the details by email.
Everything on this site can be done over the phone. No service is available only through the website.
